Bad Year for Philadelphia 76ers Allen Iverson

We are sure that most NBA fans have heard that Philadelphia 76ers Allen Iverson is gone for the rest of the season due to a lot of personal issues that have come to light. 

Just last week, Philadelphia 76ers General Manager Ed Stefanski announced that Iverson would be missing the rest of this season.  This was after Iverson missed several games and the NBA All-Star game last month in order to attend to his daughter who had undisclosed health issues.  Just a few days after the announcement by Stefanski, Iverson’s wife filed for divorce. 

Several NBA sources are also citing that Iverson has even more problems to deal with.  Sources indicate that Iverson is dealing with some alcohol and gambling issues.  He has allegedly been banned from casinos in Atlantic City and Detroit. 

During Iverson’s career, he was an NBA MVP; an 11-time NBA All-Star; and was the NBA leading scorer four times.  Many are wondering if this NBA great will be able to return to the NBA once he is able to sort out his life.   The road to recovery will be rough, but we wish Iverson all the best during this time of turmoil.
