Hip Speed Is Key For A Better Golf Game

When it comes to a better golf game, people are always
trying the latest golf workouts and tricks to find the
best ways to improve their swing speed. There are a number
of excellent golf fitness exercises that you can do to
increase your swing speed, but the truth of the matter is
that the secret to a better golf game is all in the hips.

Your hips are the key to a better golf game. To move your
hips into the golf swing only requires that you move them
three inches, but your golf club has 75 inches to travel
in order to swing and hit the ball. If you can put more
thrust into your hips when you swing, you will find that
you can greatly increase your swing speed and make your
golf game much more effective.

When you swing your golf club, you are told by
professionals to put your hips into your swing to increase
your swing speed. Most people do golf workouts that focus
on their upper body, their shoulders, and their knees to
increase their physical shape and improve their swing
speed. The best exercises for golf to help to increase the
speed of your swing will actually be those that focus on
developing the core muscles.

When you use your hips properly, you provide more overall
swing into the club. By increasing the speed at which your
hips turn and thrust into the swing, you can greatly
increase the speed of your swing. By focusing on
increasing your hip thrusting speed even one mph, you can
increase your swing speed by up to 25 mph. This is because
your hip only has to travel a few inches, but the fact that
your hip is traveling that much faster is transferring the
speed down your arm and into your swing.

While many people focus on developing their club swing
speed, there is only marginal improvement made when the
swing speed is increased at the club head. Swinging your
club head one mph faster will only increase your swing
speed by eight mph, while focusing on increasing your hip
thrusting speed by one mph can increase your speed up to
25 mph.

In order to improve your hip speed, you will find that
doing golf workouts exercises that focus on your core will
be the most effective. Don’t just focus on developing your
muscles in the motion of your swing, working out only the
muscles that will help you to get your swing forward
faster. Focus on your golf workouts exercising the entire
core of your body, including your stomach, obliques,
hamstrings, back muscles, and hips.

If you can focus on building your entire core, all of the
muscles will work together to thrust your body forward and
increase your hip speed by a great deal. All of the
muscles in the core pull together to make your hip speed
faster, which will be the secret to the success of your
golf workouts to increase your swing speed.
